Aha! Irene, you got me. OK, so I’ve edited the post to remove the word, “negative.”

This post relates to keywords; you can’t pause a negative keyword.

I’ve an inquiry about this..

“1) the keyword was clearly a mistake and never should have been bid upon; 2) the keyword is a duplicate within or across ad groups (delete the one with capitals unless it has many all time clicks!); and 3) we’ve reached the keyword limits for an account.”

Do these possibilties go under negatives or under keywords we are bidding upon?

Hey Nathan,

Good question. It’s necessary to pause many keywords, especially those which are too expensive and possibly those which have low quality scores. For such cases, we prefer to pause them than delete them.

Was just curious about deleting keywords. Does this suggest in ‘Adwords’ to not pause keywords also or was this just in regards to deleting the keywords perminently?
